Step 1: Tell us your story.

Our Admissions Navigators are available 24/7 to speak with you. This is your opportunity to tell us your story and what has brought you to the point of picking up the phone. Many of our navigators are in recovery, so they can truly empathize with what you are going through. They are also experts in our facility network.

Step 2: Complete pre-screening.

During your pre-screening, your navigator will develop an understanding of your clinical needs and the logistics involved with helping you attend treatment. You will be asked questions regarding your mental state, physical limitations, and any medical preconditions you may have. At this time, you will also discuss payment by insurance or another method.

Step 3: Receive a personalized treatment recommendation.

Based on your individual circumstances and clinical needs, your navigator will provide you a determination of which American Addiction Centers facility is the best option for you. You will review it together and the Navigator will answer any questions you might have.

Step 4: Plan your trip with guidance from us.

Once you have reviewed your treatment plan and agreed upon it, it’s time to attend treatment. We will schedule your admission, provide you a packing list, a travel schedule, and any assistance you may need to get to treatment successfully.

Step 5: Arrive at selected facility and begin your recovery process

Once you arrive at the facility, one of our compassionate team members will take you through a final medical screening, get you settled, and begin treatment.

How long will treatment last?

Depending on the level of treatment and care you need, rehab can last anywhere from 5 to 90 days and beyond. If you are admitted for detox only, this will typically last between 5-7 days, while inpatient and residential programs can last between 30 to 90 days or more. AAC focuses on admitting individuals into tailored treatment programs. We offer a full continuum of care with detox, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and telehealth. You will be offered all levels of care and treated based on your specific needs. Our admissions navigators will assist you in determining what your specific treatment will look like at no cost/obligation.

What type of recovery program will I be admitted to?

This depends on many different factors such as your addiction history, type of substance you are addicted to, any mental health or medical needs and required level of care. A personalized treatment program will be recommended after your assessment is complete.

We offer a range of treatment options, including; detox programs, inpatient residential care, outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.

Will I be uncomfortable during detox?

24/7 nursing and doctor supervised detox ensures you will be medically stable with comfort. Our medical team will individualize your detox plan with the use of medications. Our main priority is your safety and comfort as you begin your journey into recovery.

How quickly can I get admitted into treatment?

At American Addiction Centers, you may be able to get admission to rehab on the same day for medical detox and then move on to treatment that can get you on the road to long-term recovery.
