If you’re putting money into your health, your future and your family’s happiness, you should make sure you’re making the right decision for your Alafaya alcohol and drug abuse rehabilitation facility. While the best way to go may still be to talk to our hotline advisors so they can discuss your personal requirements, reading how others have reviewed or rated some of the addiction rehabilitation centers in your area is another excellent way to start.

My experience working with the counselors and staff at Recovery First was excellent. I was an outpatient there in February - March 2008. I was 39 at the time and probably wouldn't have seen my 45th birthday had it not been for the knowledge, structure, and strongly suggested direction I received while in treatment there. They made me realize that if I didn't take my recovery seriously and put it first in my life I could lose my freedom and be institutionalized or possibly lose my life. It's been 15 years since I received treatment and care from Recovery First. I've been clean and sober every day since the day I arrived on campus. That's 5488 days!!! I will forever be grateful and humble for the selfless work done by this facility for those who choose to put their lives in their hands. I remain in a 12 step program to this day. My daughters drove all the way from Nashville to pick me up unbeknownst to me. They kind of did an intervention which was well needed. They did all the research and picked this place out. All of the providers Dr. Barbara, Amisha, and my case manager Veronica, as well as my therapist Andrea were WONDERFUL. She contacted my daughters to let them know I was ok and how I was doing. I could always stop by to talk and laugh. The therapists all know my name, even the new ones. Amy and Christina, they all have great groups. I'm a journal guy and a note taking guy. I loved the groups and would always get involved. Its been a great experience for me. I couldn't even say it all. Its a complete 180, I came in with a bad attitude at first. I thought I was different because I'm a binge drinker. I met with my Business Development rep Karen before coming in and she met gave me a tour and let me check the place out. She sat with me and my family and I was able to really open up about everything I've been bottling up. We were all crying, they had been doing well fare checks on me because I would isolate and drink so much, and now tomorrow is my 30 days sober! I've got all my aftercare set up and I've got a plan to stay busy, go to meetings, and stay sober. I'm even exercising now every day and I hadn't exercised in a whole year! Its really changed my life. I would highly recommend River Oaks!
Sylvia Brafman Mental Health is without doubt a premier facility in terms of substance abuse, mental health or as in many cases dual disorders. The staff is caring, professional and compassionate when clients need it the most. Do not hesitate to encourage anyone who has the need to go to this rehab.
