Treatment Philosophy
Healing Pines Recovery is a high-end residential treatment center on a 40-acre ranch. A boutique style setting where we welcome a small group of men at a time for highly personalized care. Healing Pines Recovery treats addiction and dual diagnoses with evidence-based therapies, detox, medication-assisted treatment, and various holistic therapies. Men meet 1:1 with a licensed therapist several times a week, and weekly with a psychiatrist. Evidence-Based Care for Men’s Unique Needs Healing Pines Recovery creates a safe, accepting space for men to connect and navigate challenges. Their masters-level clinicians lead evidence-based therapies in 1:1 and group settings, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and 12-Step and non-12-Step support groups. Healing Pines Recovery uses evidence-based therapies to treat addiction at its roots and any co-occurring mental illnesses, traumas, and stress. Holistic Healing in Nature Men at Healing Pines Recovery enjoy daily holistic and experiential therapies, including physical labor on the ranch. Clients can regularly visit on-site donkeys and dogs. Off site, men can enjoy equine therapy and animal-assisted therapy with llamas, goats, and more. Healing Pines Recovery’s other experiential therapies include hiking, fishing, snowboarding, pickleball, basketball, snowshoeing, mountain biking, and pottery, among others. Family-Wide Recovery Healing Pines Recovery provides weekly family therapy and visitation hours. Loved ones can come on-site each Sunday to visit, privately meet with a family therapist, or have a family therapy session with the therapist and their loved ones. Healing Pines Recovery also allows tech use so men can stay in contact with family and any urgent work needs. After completing residential treatment, Healing Pines Recovery connects clients to further care—like intensive outpatient, sober living, or outpatient services.

Denver Recovery Center

Our son attended their inpatient center. We thought things were going well, except for lack of family involvement as promised, until we discovered that he was prescribed a few drugs. The scariest one is a dangerous antipsychotic medication called seroquel for its off label use to treat anxiety and insomnia. Now he is addicted to that medication and is suffering very unpleasant withdrawals As he is attempting to stop the drug. He was completely unaware of the nature of the drugs he was on and trusted their doctor to his own detriment! Our son reports most patients are prescribed this very dangerous drug at their treatment center. Shameful!

Sobriety House, Inc.

They let me work day labor on the weekends. I have been Clean & Sober for 25 years. They had a 3/4 house where I could rent an apartment and had a meeting there once a week for my aftercare treatment. I have been sober since leaving the program. The program taught me that there was another way of life that included Prayer and Meditation. 1 of my counselors taught me how to meditate and how to grow Spiritually. I had to get rid of my old ideas about what I thought about Religion and to choose a God that I wanted in my life.

Drug Addiction in Colorado

Many studies show high rates of illicit drug and alcohol use among Colorado adults and teens, pointing to a possible need for increased treatment and prevention.

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s 2013-2014 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, Colorado ranked in the top 10 states for use of marijuana, cocaine, non-medical use of opioids and alcohol.3

Colorado has 369 outpatient treatment programs, 51 residential programs, and 11 hospital inpatient programs. 96% accept cash or self-payment, 49% accept private health insurance, 24% accept Medicare and 55% accept Medicaid. Seventy-three percent offer a sliding scale fee.2

Addiction by the Numbers
  • Colorado youth have high rates of substance use. Past-month illicit drug use among adolescents ages 12-17 increased from 13.2% in 2010-2011 to 14.6% in 2013-2014. Past-month binge alcohol use decreased during the same period, but it was still higher than the national average (15.9% vs. 14%).1
  • A recent analysis found that the statewide rate of drug overdose deaths increased 68% between 2002 and 2014. The overdose death rate increased in every county except one, and 12 counties had rates of more than 20 deaths per 100,000 residents, making them some of the highest in the nation.4
  • Colorado legalized recreational marijuana in 2012. A state government report found that marijuana arrests were down 46% between 2012 and 2014. However, driver fatalities with THC-only or THC-in-combination increased 44% from 2013 to 2014. Hospitalizations due to marijuana increased from 803 per 100,000 during 2001-2009 to 2,413 per 100,000 in 2014-June 2015.5
How Much Does Rehab Cost?

The cost of paying for drug rehab in Colorado will be determined by a range of factors including length of stay, amenities offered, staff to patient ratio, location, type of treatment e.g. private, luxury and any personal requests you may have (e.g. private rooms or childcare).

If you find a program that you like but it is outside your budget, you have a number of options to come up with the funds. For example, you could take out a personal loan, apply for a credit card or ask friends and family for financial assistance.

No matter how high the cost of treatment seems, the cost of continued drug or alcohol abuse is much higher. Taking the time and energy to invest in your health and wellbeing is important not only for yourself, but to all of those around you.

Treatment Options

The goal of treatment is to help you become mentally and physically stronger. People with significantly severe opioid, alcohol, benzodiazepine and some other forms of sedative dependencies may need to first go through medical detoxification. During detox, you will be monitored closely for signs of seizures, stroke or other serious withdrawal symptoms. After detox, you will transition a program such as a short or long term residential program, hospital inpatient program, opioid treatment program or outpatient program.
