If you’re putting money into your health, your future and your family’s happiness, you want to make sure you’re making the right choice for your Gordon alcohol and substance abuse rehab program. While the smartest thing to do may still be to call our hotline advisors so they can discuss your personal requirements, looking at the reviews and ratings for some of the addiction rehab facilities in or around your area is another good way to begin.
Recovery.org is owned and operated by American Addiction Centers (AAC). AAC is a leading rehabilitation provider, offering all levels of care from detox to sober living, including 9 inpatient facilities nationwide.
Strengths: Educational and Social programs Honoring individual spiritual beliefs. Weakness: Some of the staff members weren't too knowledgeable about the in-depth nature of the practices. I had a great experience while my father was with this facility. Despite some minor issues with certain programs and staff knowledge, everything went smoothly. It did not give me a negative view of this facility.
They are also a mental health facility so they can accommodate people of all backgrounds. Treatment plans are patient based, which helps with the fact that everyone is different. However, space is limited and they change policies frequently regarding treatment options and medication. Also, cost can be an issue without insurance. I've been clean 4.5 years thanks to this program and my dedication to continuing in aftercare programs. I tried many things beforehand and this is the one time it's worked longer than a few months!
My son attended this facility twice over the last couple years. I thought they did a good job at caring for him and getting him on the first step of getting clean. They worked well with our family in teaching us about addiction so we can help him. Addiction affects the entire family, not just the addict. The only thing I think needs to change, is the length of stay should be more than 3 weeks. My son was in deep in drugs for a long time, and 3 weeks is not enough, Not even on his second time through. I believe each patient should be treated individually and their own needs, not what insurance will pay. However, the program itself is a very good program. I fully recommend it.
