Clients get a chance to experience triggers from the outside world while still experiencing treatment. Clients encouraged to get jobs and be financially responsible before discharge, not continue to be dependent on parents or loved ones, clients are hooked up with community resources, staff is highly skilled and educated, they give a lot of scholarships, the directors are readily available and answer the phone 24/7, really good team work among staff members, staff members are in recovery themselves and really enjoy their jobs, - New program - Space constraints of facility, small rooms, not enough offices, parking - Lack of training and short sobriety requirement for technicians, they tend to get into power struggles - not very good therapist retention - no women on their director's or management team .

I sent my brother to this center 3 years ago in Portland, Oregon. He is sober today and tells me still that Blvd and the staff saved his life. At 30 we had all but given up on him and this was his 5th center. My parents cut him off and I was only one who had contact. Watching my brother come back to life was a miracle. These women made sure he had free, nice clothes, food and treated him like part of their own brother. He still stops into see them and our entire family is reunited after a long session that 5 staff attended. They work miracles. I don\'t know what their secret is but I believe that people want to know they matter. They helped my brother see how much he matters.
