Serenity Point Recovery Center

It's been a trip..SPR has really done wonders for me in the time that I've been here. I walked into this place, being my first rehab not having a clue of what to expect. Only thing I really knew for sure was that my addiction to methamphetamine got me here and I felt disappointed I had reached this point in the viscous cycle of drug addiction. Been through a lot of greatly beneficial group courses since I've been here, but the two that stand out the most are crooked thinking and relationships groups. They both targeted very crucial flaws and defective characteristics of my day to day life. I learned about what healthy relationships are and I the many unconscious lies I would deal with. But, bigger than all, I came here with not an ounce of love for myself, and I proud to say that as of today, I have nothing but love for myself. The best part about this place is the people, or "clients," like yourself, that can empathize with everyone here alike. We all come from different pasts, but they can understand, relate...not make you feel so alone anymore.

Close to home, female only. In need of many things such as exercise activities, healing, one on one counseling etc. They teach you just how to live a normal daily routine while attending only one AA meeting a day, and if your lucky one NA meeting a month.

My brother was at Best Drug Rehab and he’s so much better now. He hasn’t struggled with addiction all his life or anything like that. He got in a car accident last year and hurt his back. The pain medication that was given to him turned into an addiction and once he realized that and that he couldn’t get off of them by himself he asked for help with it. My mom found Best Drug Rehab and it was the exact right place for my brother to go. Because he had never been to treatment before my mom wasn’t sure what kind of program would work best for him. The fact that they had multiple programs to choose from at BDR was one of the main reasons my mom picked that rehab for him to go to. When my mom called BDR they worked really quickly to get him into a room and made sure everything was taken care. They got him settled in right away and the detox he went through was right there on the same property as the treatment facility. My brother was really worried about the detox portion because he had tried to kick on his own and he couldn’t get through it. However, he said that at BDR they were really great with him and helped him through his detox so that it wasn’t as bad as he thought it would be. Once he finished his detox and moved over to the main treatment portion of BDR he started to get better right away. He really enjoyed doing the program and the different things he got to do while he was there. There other reason my mom picked BDR was because of the music and art therapy classes they have. My brother has always played the drums and being able to play them has always been really important to him. The music therapy classes help him but he also got to play the drums they have in the music room. I always thought that was so smart. I mean, it’s not as if my mom could just ship his drums to him and expect his roommates to be okay with his playing them whenever. He loved that he got to go off property sometimes with some of the other patients and go see a movie or do something like that. Another thing is that he started working out while he was there. He got to meet with a personal trainer and get a work-out program that wasn’t too difficult and he was comfortable doing. The food there was pretty great and he enjoyed being able to work-out and get back in shape. He gave him some time where he could just pretend that nothing else existed and it helped get him out of his head so that when he went to his next group or whatever he was able to really concentrate. He said he didn’t feel trapped there, which when you are going through rehab is a big thing I guess. I don’t really know much about the program he did other than the fact that it helped him get clean again and he’s back home doing great. Hasn’t had a relapse or anything and is doing really great again. BDR helped him get his life back on track and I’m really happy he was able to go this program first and not have to go through a bunch of rehabs to find a program that would work for him.
