When I stepped onto the plane leaving Texas (the only home that I\'ve ever known), headed for an inpatient treatment program in California, I thought my life was over. I was broken in every sense of the word. Spiritually, emotionally, mentally. Looking back, I can now see that stepping on that plane and walking into Northbound\'s doors was the beginning of a long, hard, transformative road towards getting my life back. I was on the show Intervention, and my interventionist....hand-picked Northbound for me. I now understand why. During my 7-month stay, I received a level of care unlike anything I had experienced before. My case manager went above and beyond to see that I was comfortable and guided me through the recovery process slowly and patiently. My therapist was always available for me to work through some underlying issues that I had never been able to properly and healthily deal with. Northbound provided me the safety, structure, education and accountability that was necessary to provoke meaningful change in my life. They helped me tackle my issues from EVERY angle. This program saved my life, no doubt about it. The staff cares, the program works, and the facilities are exceptional.
