If you are investing in your health and your future, you should make sure you’re making the best possible choice for your Menlo alcohol and drug abuse rehabilitation center. While the best course of action may still be to speak to our hotline experts so they can discuss your individual requirements, seeing how others are reviewing or rating some of the addiction rehabilitation facilities in or around you is another great way to begin.
Recovery.org is owned and operated by American Addiction Centers (AAC). AAC is a leading rehabilitation provider, offering all levels of care from detox to sober living, including 9 inpatient facilities nationwide.
Fist of all, not many are there by choice..some at any facility are court ordered. Therefore, effective results depend on how badly the individual wants to be healthy. Generally, I think Bluff is great. Select staff impressed me on family weekend and the families I met were wonderful people who really cared. The program for both patients and families is intensive. The equine therapist was impressive, the meals were healthy and the setting peaceful, private & serene. My one complaint is with management. When you receive the contract to sign, they should include a list of rules & expectations for family members..we were completely in the dark. No idea of phone privileges etc. One staff member is extremely organized with scheduling phone calls in family therapy sessions and getting impact letters from family & friends to assess before those meetings. The case manager was nice but not organized as the other staffer is. He called without prior notice 2 days before my son was released. I couldn't talk long & asked if I could call back in an hour. He said he & my son would call the next day to make arrangements for his release & never did. You can never reach anyone by phone to find out what is happening so I did not know until my son was an hour from Bluff that they were transporting him to a sober living facility. The people who work there try so hard & really, really care...management needs to get their act together for families needing info. So simple to have a sheet of rules & regulations and then schedule phone meetings..there aren't so many that this can't be handled by an effective administrator.
This treatment center truly saved my life. I was addicted to meth and heroin and lost everything. I've got over a year sober, thanks in large part to them.
Professional, compassionate, supportive treatment. Staff is very well qualified and credentials are excellent. Years of experience unsurpassed. Nationally identified within the field as one of the top treatment centers in the U.S. Being able to compare to another facility in the Southeast, I can say that the center is above and beyond the "standard" practices in the field. Very nice private suites with private bath, includes a very well appointed room with comfortable double bed, dresser and writing area. Housekeeping is very detailed. Linens changed cleaned and pressed daily. Personal clothing laundry picked up daily. Food is excellent. All of the extra details allowed me to focus on my recovery and break out of my denial. Once the denial was shattered, the real work began. Groups and individual sessions were on target for those of us willing to work and do what was needed to start a new life. Top to bottom, Willing Way is the place to go for treatment if you are really ready to get off the merry-go-round of addiction!
