When you are investing in a family member’s health and well-being, you should make sure you’re making the right decision for your Parker alcohol and substance abuse recovery clinic. While the most prudent alternative may still be to talk to our hotline advisors so they can discuss your personal requirements, seeing how others are reviewing or rating some of the addiction rehab centers near you is another great way to start.
they take on a no nonsense approach. You are free to leave at anytime if you so desire. They do recommend a person to stay a year. sometimes it would be a little crowded. the directer/owner really cares about peoples recovery.
I came here for a stabilization period I was welcomed with open arms, and I was truly able to get the help that I need to get while being here, they were very accommodating to my needs. I would highly recommend to anyone struggling with addiction problems, I felt as if they were really there to help me.
The nurses were so helpful, most of the nursing staff was amazing. Especially when they helped me with my blood pressure, they really worked with me on that. My therapist Trina always watched out for me. She really took care of me and got down on my level, she helped me mentally which helped me to lower my blood pressure when I was having a tough situation that made me feel overwhelmed. She made sure I was ok and advocated for me every single time. She helped me mentally just by talking and which also helped me physically. She went and got ahold of my doctors and advocated for me the whole way through. She made sure everything got done. Trina is unbelievable, I get goose bumps just talking about it. How can a person lower your blood pressure just by talking to you? But she did and she didn't leave my side until I was ok. Ill never forget that because I felt like I was dying and I had chest pains which made it hard to breathe but she really comforted me and calmed me down. I wanted to hug her! My room mate and I were able to be comfortable together and I liked the way the facility is set up. It gives you the opportunity for freedom to walk around. I have a choice in what I can do here and I had my phone to talk to my family. I very much liked learning about the body and the muscles. Being here has really helped my body. They have an amazing gym with tons of equipment. Between volleyball and sports, they have a lot to do like use the basketball court. River Oaks taught me about all my triggers that I didn't know I had, things from that past that happened. They taught me about how the brain works and my fight or flight response, the information was all there to help. I couldn't believe the volume of information coming in and I kept my ears open the whole time. It was just amazing the things I learned. There was times that things didn't go my way, but they taught me how to turn it around for the positive. I saw so many transformations here with the young guys. To watch them when they come in while they are down and out and to see them when they leave is just amazing. They are happy, joyous, and free. This place changes lives. It takes hard work but we can gain our respect, confidence, and reliability back. I tried to do it by myself and I realized I needed help so I picked the phone up. I was in AA for 8 years and then I stopped going, eventually I used. I've been in and out of AA since 1994. We did a road to recovery exercise here in class and it helped me come to the realization that every time I have relapsed was when I stopped going AA. After reflecting on the exercise I had a powerful realization that the only thing that using leads me to is jails, institutions, and death. I would absolutely recommend River Oaks to anyone seeking treatment, no questions asked.
