When you are putting money toward a family member’s health and well-being, you’ll want to make sure you’re choosing the right option for your Pence Springs alcohol and drug dependence recovery facility. While the best choice may still be to speak to our helpline advisors so they can discuss your individual needs, looking at the ratings and reviews for some of the addiction rehabilitation clinics near you is another great way to start.
Recovery.org is owned and operated by American Addiction Centers (AAC). AAC is a leading rehabilitation provider, offering all levels of care from detox to sober living, including 9 inpatient facilities nationwide.
The staff and therapist are extremely experienced, very kind and gentle in dealings with client and families. They see the human being under the addiction and help them to address their issues. The farming and it's many responsibilities is a huge part of the program and it helps clients to feel self reliant and self sufficient and they find new skills in themselves they never knew they had. The physical lodgings and the beautiful farmland where it is situated is amazing, therapeutic and restful to clients and families when they visit. In addition to work on the farm they also have fun and take them to a wide variety of experiences...from camping, fishing, bowling, an amusement park, a day at the lake...while not meant to be a vacation the young men at this facility are having fun, working as a team and are a huge support system for one another as they all work on their own issues. The staff are excellent and adept at helping clients to address their medical/dental issues while living there. They provide constant loving support even when it might be a procedure or test the client is fearful of and this is critical to helping all the clients to be as healthy as possible. I feel extremely grateful to have our loved one there and I know it does not get better than Jacob's Ladder at Brookside Farm for helping someone with addiction issues. They have recently implemented a weekly communication via emails with photos to family which is very wonderful and reassuring. Seeing this continue makes it easier to have our loved one very far away from home. Our loved one had done an initial detox and treatment at another shorter term facility where it was determined he had serious deep rooted issues and realized he needed a long term program afterward. The therapist there and the therapist at Jacob's Ladder communicated very effectively so that our son had a seamless transition where he is continuing to work on his issues...and time was not lost as he moved into this longer term program. Jacob's Ladder staff very quickly understood what our son needed to work on and we are grateful to have him in their program.
Im so grateful to have had the opportunity to come to Brians Safehouse and get the help that I received. The staff and all the volunteers loved me and fought for me at a time when I couldnt love or fight for myself. Being a resident there was a big change for me as the structure was a struggle and accountability was nothing I had ever experienced before. Being apart of a structured program allowed me to focus on doing what Im suppose to be doing and the accountability helped me stay on track. The curriculum was the best part for me! I was able to learn so much about myself and life struggles through the classes we had in the mornings Monday-Friday. Being able to learn tools and skills that I could apply for solutions to the problems in my life really helped me change the way I live life. Im able to live life more skillfully by apply these principles to my daily life. I have had long term sobriety since graduating the program with coming up on my 8th year of sobriety. When I surrendered and just allowed people to help me and took my hands out of the process then a great life of recovery was started for me and Ive been able to build on that foundation and continue to have a sober successful life. The program works if you will work the program!!
They encourage participants to allow family to be a part of the process.
