If you’re investing in a family member’s health and happiness, you need to make sure you’re making the right choice for your South Webster alcohol and drug abuse rehab facility. While the smartest thing to do may still be to talk to our hotline advisors so they can discuss your individual needs, seeing the ratings and reviews on some of the addiction treatment centers in your area is another excellent place to start.
Recovery.org is owned and operated by American Addiction Centers (AAC). AAC is a leading rehabilitation provider, offering all levels of care from detox to sober living, including 9 inpatient facilities nationwide.
There was a lot of "busy wok" meaning worksheets and groups were lead always by a counselor. It wasn't individual based, it was group-based. Individual counseling always had paperwork--it was more like information gathering and the purpose for the information was unclear to me. I didn't feel connected to any of the counselors---I didn't feel like it was personal at all--they never knew me. I was just an addict.
The facility was extremely nice. It was an actual house and holds a small number of residents. There are counselers who were once addicts themselves and are understanding. There are lectures that explain the physiology of addiction and treatment. Very expensive and many insurance companies will not cover. There is inpatient and outpatient treatment at the Ridge. Inpatient is 30 days and residents stay in a secluded house that has large bedrooms and there is a pool. There is an in house chef. Residents are transported by bus to AA meetings, therapy sessions and field trips such as trips to the YMCA. After completion of inpatient there are outpatient sessions to attend as well.
I attended the program for four months. It turned my life around. Sad that some people refuse to do the work to get through the program and then blame everyone else instead of taking a long, hard look in the mirror. Once I took that long, hard look, positive changes happened in my life. Thanks ARC!
