When you’re investing in a family member’s health, happiness and wellbeing, you need to make sure you’re making the best decision for your Spring Run alcohol and drug addiction rehab program. While the most prudent choice may still be to call our helpline advisors so they can discuss your specific requirements, looking at how others are reviewing or rating some of the addiction rehabilitation clinics near you is another great place to begin.
Recovery.org is owned and operated by American Addiction Centers (AAC). AAC is a leading rehabilitation provider, offering all levels of care from detox to sober living, including 9 inpatient facilities nationwide.
I\'ve been to 6 different inpatient facilities and have gone to inpatient treatment 13 times. I would venture to say I have pretty good idea of what I am talking about. The last place I went to was GBriar. I don\'t know what was different. It seemed like just another \"oil change\". Trying to get my parents off my back, ttying to do something different. Still in denial, I didn\'t think I had a shot. My addiction has taken me to the brink of suicide, homelessness, multiple arrests and multiple overdoses. None of the consequences were enough to slow me down. My first day was terrible, I was in a fog. I was still fighting the process. I was still doing the same things that had caused me to relapse as soon as I got out. Through personal insights and the insightful nature of the staff I was ability attain and more importantly abstain a desire to do something different. I just felt a level of actual concern within the staff that was beyond them just trying to get another paycheck. They actually cared and more importantly understood what was going on. They helped me harness my desperation and turn it into willingness to stop. Rehab is a roller coaster with more valleys than peaks. But what I realized is everybody else their was going through the same thing. Some of the counsellors and techs spoke from experience rather than what they read. As suggested I went to a greenbriar affiliated halfway house and was met with the same desire within the staff there. Point blank, it saved my life. I have 15 months clean now, a job, a car I paid for, a roof over my head, but more importantly a level of acceptance, rather than regret, with who I am as a person. For that reason I highly recommend this facility. I no longer wake in that animalistic mode were I have to figure out who I have to rob just to feel almost normal.
The center is very nice. The accommodations are pretty nice as well. My issues were with the Counselors and the scheduling. They most definitely need better counselors. Most of them are full of themselves and are set in their mind frames. Your point of view and thoughts do not matter to them. Once they have made up their mind about what they think you are doing or saying, there is nothing that you can say as a patient that will change that. I almost feel like, my thoughts were not even listened to. As far as the scheduling goes, it's just with the timings of events. You are never told when the meetings are, you just have to sit and wait for the tech to say, we are leaving in 30 minutes or so. You have to wait on that info to plan your events. Different houses seem to follow different routines as well. I heard a few other houses complain that they were not getting the same benefits that we were getting. BEWARE: The COUNSELORS TALK TO YOUR FAMILY WITHOUT TELLING YOU AND AT TIMES EVEN CONVINCE THEM TO PAY OUT OF POCKET WHEN INSURANCE REFUSES TO. At over $2K a day, that is a lot of money out of pocket.
I was a client at avenues for 6 months. I found it to be professionally run by caring people. Right now I have 1 year clean with more to go.my counselor was crummy but all the others were good, don't worry he has since left.the living arrangements were fine and the food they provided was sufficient. You cooked for yourself. When the young guys cooked you got hot dogs and burgers .when the older ones cooked you ate salmon, pork shoulders, pork chops etc. It was hit or miss but never bad. Plus you could make what you wanted. The patient techs were good and helpful. One in particular pat would literally go to the ends of the earth to help you. Gotta love the guys genuiness and caring demeanor. The housing manager devin was really good also. Sadly I've been in quite a few rehabs and I would rate avenues an 8 out of 10. I would recommend it to family and friends. I learned alot there which helps me now.you can only get better coming here. Jamie lorber
