When you are putting money into a family member’s health, happiness and wellbeing, you should make sure you’re making the right choice for your Sunnybrook alcohol and substance abuse treatment clinic. While the most prudent way to go may still be to dial our hotline advisors so they can discuss your personal needs, checking out the ratings and reviews for some of the addiction rehabilitation programs in your area is another good place to start.
Recovery.org is owned and operated by American Addiction Centers (AAC). AAC is a leading rehabilitation provider, offering all levels of care from detox to sober living, including 9 inpatient facilities nationwide.
This is a free long-term residential recovery center. It is not a treatment center. Free; nearly home. Great value.
I will just say this. I'm familiar with Betty Ford, BHOP and a couple other well known expensive treatment centers. In saying that there is something special going on at this small treatment center in Louisville Ky. Many facilities claim to be dual diagnosis which really only requires them to allow patients to take their meds as scheduled. Landmark has developed a new model that takes dual diagnosis to a different level. They understand that addiction is a brain disease and therefore make treating the brain equally if not more important than treating the symptoms and withdrawals. How can we expect our loved ones to make the decision to get well if they are cognitively unable to make good decisions? Should you be looking for a compassionate, caring and affordable treatment center focused on truly providing dual diagnosis care then Landmark would be my first choice even over those world renown places mentioned above. The proof is in the results. My family member spent many years struggling and relapsing only to end up at this facility. It was only at this facility that they were equipped mentally to have a chance at long term recovery. They have been. Sober for 8 months and well all I can say is thank you Landmark. You saved their life and for that my family is eternally grateful.
They offered and encouraged 3 month stay in transitional housing at low cost to me as I re-entered work force. It encouraged and enabled me to honestly face myself and my addiction that I am now able to live life on life's terms. I am grateful to them and all the contributors that make it possible for someone like me to recover from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body. It is a non medical facility that provided education giving me a full understanding of my disease and provided housing and meals daily.
