When you are putting money toward your health, your future and your family’s happiness, you’ll need to make sure you’re making the best possible decision for your Willimantic alcohol and drug abuse treatment program. While the best option may still be to call our helpline advisors so they can discuss your individual requirements, looking at how others have reviewed or rated some of the addiction recovery facilities in your area is another good place to get started.
Recovery.org is owned and operated by American Addiction Centers (AAC). AAC is a leading rehabilitation provider, offering all levels of care from detox to sober living, including 9 inpatient facilities nationwide.
The Westport House is and will always be remembered in my heart as the best Treatment / Recovery experience I have ever had -- My name is Craig and I am from Delray Beach , FL . From the time I was 14 years old I have always struggled with drugs and alcohol - The 1st time I went to rehab was at 19 years old (2004) -- In all the years of seeking help - I can honestly say this place provided the most well structured and client focused program.. It is rare to find a place where they actually care about people the way they do here . The staff , counselors and case managers will go the extra mile for each individual person and treat you like family -- Each client is treated as if they are the most important person in the program . The houses are spacious and clean and are presented with a warm and welcoming atmosphere -- Everything that I could possibly ask for to feel comfortable and ''at home'' are set up to feel as though you have finally found the right place -- Televisions in the bedrooms , large bathrooms and spacious bedrooms , clean and comfortable furniture and a warm and inviting aura -- Transportation is provided for 12 step meetings , daily gym memberships and employment -- The case workers are all greatly invested in each individual client so much that it feels as though they are family . If there is ever an issue - the staff and owners are always there to resolve and or meet any and all needs / requests expressed by the client . After my experience in Connecticut I can honestly say there are ''treatment centers'' and ''Rehabs'' - and then there is The Westport House - a significant difference from A-Z . I am truly , genuinely thankful for all they have done for me and would strongly suggest this as a number one pick over anywhere else . Much love to all of the staff and friends I had made along my journey with you all !! Thank you for allowing me the honor of being apart of this amazing program...
I was a client at turnbridge from January 2017-January 2018. I came in with over a year of sobriety voluntarily. I am now discharged and living independently in Florida. I am sober two and a half years. Inpatient rehab taught me how to get sober, Turnbridge taught me how to live sober. I was lucky to be placed in the care of world class staff. They were professional, treated me with kindness and respect, wanted to see me succeed, listened to my needs, and helped me through the normal anxieties that come with re-integrating into life after getting sober. I am still in contact with many of the staff and administration at Turnbridge. They don't just discharge you and not keep in touch. They genuinely want to see how I am doing and wish for my continued success and sobriety. I found that most of the staff I regularly interacted with were doing what they did because they personally in some way were either affected by this disease or knew who someone who was and genuinely wanted to make a difference in the lives of the women they worked with. I have very fond memories of this place.
