Again, website is misleading. I would have appreciated the alternative therapies - ALL of them available, especially considering how expensive the treatment is. Also, I don't understand the random out of pocket costs It doesn't coincide with my insurance policy. However, the power of the group was immense. My peers were the biggest influence on me. The ability to socialize without substances, and the opportunity to explore personal issues were worth the time and effort.
To whom it may concern, SJRP changed my life with the infinite amount of love and patience they offered to me. The variety of food and activities made me excited for each day that came along. Activities included the gym, equine therapy, horse back riding, NIT/VAT therapy ( which is amazing!!!), painting and reading, meditation, group and one on one therapy sessions. Extra activities include park excursions, kayaking, visiting springs, and the beach. All the staff ranging from the Director of Operations down to the Custodians are there to provide tender loving care for the betterment of each client. I speak from personal experience and this is why I am so grateful for the opportunity to attend Saint Johns Recovery Place.
I am a graduate of this progam, Was on their praise and worship team from 2008-2010.. Did alot of Unrecognized work there.. Overall this program and the staff taught me alot about life.. I was alot younger when I was there and not as mature spiritually and mentally as I am now.. It has been 8 long years since I graduated! I am currently 33 years old, Reflecting back on what they taught me and all thefun, I wish I could\'ve stayed to advance.. But like they teach you in the classes, God has placed a higher calling in my life, but I still minister and share my times at this place with people that Cross my path Daily! I currently live in Texas, and I\'ll tell you what, Houston definitely Needs a place like this... please feel free contact me, I am a fellow alumni member!
