Gaudenzia Inc. utilizes the Therapeutic Community model of addiction treatment, involving a structured schedule and curriculum that emphasizes positive social skills and behavioral tools to help achieve recovery. Serving over 18,000 clients annually, Gaudenzia operates 141 drug and alcohol treatment programs for men and women in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. Services include specialized programs for pregnant and parenting mothers, adolescents and people suffering from a co-occurring mental illness.

Specialization

    Outpatient treatment describes all addiction treatment that is not residential. Patients live at home while undergoing rehab.
  • Dual Diagnosis/ Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment

    These two terms describe a person who is not only addicted to drugs or alcohol, but also has a mental or emotional illness, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. Facilities that treat patients with dual-diagnosis or co-occurring disorders provide psychiatric treatment in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation services.

    Michael B. Harle, MHSCEO
    Michael Harle is the President / CEO of Gaudenzia, Inc. Mr. Harle began his career in 1973 as a chemical dependency counselor, and shortly after, developed drug and alcohol treatment programs in three state correctional institutions in Pennsylvania. He received his Master's Degree in Human Services from Lincoln University in 1978 and holds a certificate in Non-Profit Management from Harvard University Business School.

    Gadi Aronson has been with Gaudenzia since 2004 and has more than 25 years experience in fundraising. Mr. Aronson is responsible for all aspects of fundraising and public relations for the organization.
