Hoag Neurosciences Institute’s Chemical Dependency Recovery Center provides evidence-based inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment services to chemically-dependent individuals struggling with substance abuse. Clients are offered medically-supervised detoxification as needed, as well as onsite 12-Step services, individual and group therapy, family programming, and more. Programs are specially tailored to suit the needs of working professionals, young adults, chronic pain patients, and those suffering from concurrent mental health and substance abuse issues.

  • Young Adults

    Men and women ages 18-25 face challenges that are unique to young adult life, often involving important decisions about the future. That’s why treatment for young adult patients at Hoag CDRC is not only focused on successful addiction recovery, but also on the development of important skills necessary for independent, productive and sober living. As in all of Hoag’s specialized programs, the Young Adult Program emphasizes family recovery. Family participation is essential throughout treatment and throughout ongoing recovery management.

  • Mozhgan Ashtari, M.D.
    Mozhgan Ashtari, M.D.Hoag Medical Group Internal Medicine
    Dr. Ashtari began her career in medicine in 1997 as an emergency room physician. Since then, she has gained extensive experience as a general practitioner, clinical research coordinator and hospitalist at hospitals in Iran, Florida, New Jersey and California. Dr. Ashtari completed her residency in internal medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, N.Y., where she also was a fellow in Geriatrics at Flushing Hospital Medical Center.

    A native of Iran who knew he wanted to be a doctor since he was 5 years old, Dr. Karimi has been practicing medicine for nearly 28 years in the Midwest. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the Indiana School of Medicine. Dr. Karimi comes to Hoag from Howard Regional Hospital in Kokomo, Ind. For a period of more than 10 years, Dr. Karimi served as the Indianapolis Colts Team Medical Consultant and earned one Super Bowl ring and one AFC Championship ring.
