I attended the women\'s program since i was ready to make a change in my life. While most of the staff was friendly and helpful, others were not. I did not feel that rules were enforced and it seemed to lack structure. If a client left, they were usually let back into the program. This was not helpful to those of us wanting to get sober and change out lives. By letting clients leave for a week or so and then come back, it disrupts those within the house.

Park Avenue is owned and operated by someone who themselves are in recovery. From the time I was admitted, until discharged I was impressed with the holistic side, as well as the addiction education learned. Very good base of sober tools were given to me. They literally enabled me to save my own life.

You don't have to wait long for a bed if you have nowhere to go. perfect place if you're a homeless addict or court order. I think the client to counselor ratio should be lessened. this is a good place if you're on paper if you're dealing with child protection but if you're just wanting to get clean and sober this is not the place for you! Most have clients come from jail. it's good place for this population of people just not me, it's all a matter of opinion where you go ultimately its up to the addict to want to change. they have a lot of programming here and they keep you pretty busy which is good in early sobriety so its good place to get to know yourself again!
