The facility was good. They do however false advertise that they have a chef. I am not complaining because the delivered \"chef\" food was very good. No complaints there. Some nurses were fantastic and some were not. Be careful and be aware that you can be overmedicated there and spend a lot more time in detox than needed. Ask questions and learn to know your body and what works and doesn\'t. Always ask other patients what they are taking, side effects and benefits. Some staff seemed to want to be helpful and love the clients and others were abusive. There is no need to have anyone in any facility that can\'t get past their own issues and take care of these broken and abused clients. Love is the only answer here and I hope that they will make changes to their staff. Most of the counselors/therapist were great and for that reason I would recommend this place. However, some clients can\'t get past all these other issues and leave, or continue to use etc. I had to put all that aside and just work on myself. I learned a lot about myself and lots more about drugs and abuse than I would every care to know. Ugh. I can pick apart all that they are doing wrong (very small blankets, allowing people to stay after doing drugs and bringing in drugs, sex with other clients, 10 min phone calls with family members and sometimes those were cut off because of lack of employees, cigarettes were the most important item since because of Covid-19 and we had to rely on them to buy stuff for us, apartment size washer and dryer for 40+ people was insane, I am sure they will figure it out. They should have a NO tolerance policy and enforce it!!!! I felt like there were a lot of fishy things happening there that I won\'t go into. I did really get a lot out of the all the small group sessions and my counselor Benito was fantastic. Karen my case manager go to the bottom of a lot of things for me as well. So with that being said, you get out of it what you put into it and if you\'re mature enough to work through all facilities issues and know they are not perfect you will find your way. My choice would be Valley Hope of Cushing where you will find the best loving and caring place and I would recommend it over Riverwalk Ranch.

I was a client at River Ranch for alcoholism. My case worker met me at the front steps upon arrival and immediately comforted me and shared her sobriety story. She made me feel at ease and was so kind throughout my stay. I learned quickly that I wasn't alone with my disease and that others understood exactly what I was going through, despite our different walks of life. That gave me hope that I could recover and that this addiction did not define me. They also taught me some tools to deal with stress and anxiety. The facility itself and surrounding grounds are well maintained. There are goats and donkeys which I absolutely loved. They have soccer balls, basketball, volleyball, and trails you can walk. There were some issues like retrieving items quickly. Sometimes you had to wait longer than you wanted. And the phone list starts at 8 am with about 10-12 time slots. That was upsetting for some that could not get on the list, however I only had maybe 2 incidences with that and was allowed to use the phone if absolutely needed. My experience overall here has been enlightening. There are a variety of clients that may not share the same views but we seemed to get along. I highly recommend this facility and hopeful about my future.

I chose this place so I could get a fresh start on life and needed to get away and work on myself. The people here made it very easy for me to do that. I always had someone to talk to if I had a problem. I had good and bad days but I felt accomplished. I was able to ease into my group settings helped me be able to stay. I love having options. I have been sober for 32 days and I am going to miss this place.
