The Menzies Institute of Recovery from Addiction (MIRA) understands that addiction is an illness. And just like any other illness, it requires comprehensive treatment that is thorough and compassionate. The residential rehab is dedicated to providing clients with effective and comfortable care, including detox and anti-craving medications, as well as psychiatric and behavioral therapy. Treatment programs are individualized to meet each client’s needs and ensure that sobriety will be maintained after the program is completed.

Medical DetoxificationDrugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.
Holistic TherapyFacilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction.
