Fuelled by a strong desire to assist others, Melissa has pursued an extensive education in psychology and completed a physician's assistant program. With 18 years of experience in various substance abuse-related roles, including as a counselor and psychiatrist in emergency rooms, inpatient and outpatient facilities, as well as a crisis intervention specialist and case manager, she has developed a wealth of expertise in the field. Melissa's area of specialization lies in aiding patients in overcoming both psychological and medical barriers, allowing them to reach their full potential. By employing an approach that centers on assisting patients in achieving their short- and long-term objectives, Melissa strives to enhance their physical, mental, and social well-being.
