We struggled for several years with my daughter's addiction. At first she was mis-diagnosed as Bipolar with ADHD and became addicted to her medications. When the current dose wouldn't work, the doctor kept increasing it. As time went on she started self-medicating with street drugs which lead us to desperation and we sent her to live with family in Oh. Knowing that her addiction was more than they could handle and her going into a downhill spiral, she was admitted into a hospital for immediate treatment. The hospital talked to her and to us and said she truly needed residential addition recovery treatment and gave a few suggestions. When checking into the suggestions, the director of the Ohio Addition Recovery Center had an appointment with that Hospital to discuss what they had to offer patients. The director met my daughter that day and it truly made my daughter feel comfortable. Meeting the director on a personal level, the director explaining the process of the recovery and residential care and that they also provided the Transportation to their facility which was over 2 1/2 hours away. My daughter has been there now for over 90 days and is doing amazingly well. She has a core group of support that is phenomenal. They are professional, caring, loving, supportive but most important to her and to us, they are honest and genuine. From the start of her program they have been honest with her which has built trust. She has a bond with her counselors, technician, and support staff. For us her family, it has been an answer to prayer. We are several states away, and one of the hardest things was giving our daughter over to them for recovery treatment and not knowing what to expect. They made it completely comfortable for her and for us. They encouraged our participation in her recovery, they were with us sharing each step of her progress. They knew when to take it slow with her and when to give her a little push to go forward. The care she has received at Ohio Addition & Recovery Center has been a blessing for her and for us. They have eased our hearts and our minds. We cannot thank them enough for how much they have helped us all through this. Their Staff is extremely professional, caring, loving, honest & genuine. They care for their patients and truly want to help them. I highly recommend Ohio Addition & Recovery Center.
Health and safety classes were good. Too much fussing among groups. Very good facility but it is for women only.
A good facility but certain aspects, such as holistic offerings, exercise and leisure activities, and family participation need improvement.
