Treatment Philosophy
Oxford Treatment Center is a 110 acre campus located within the Holly Springs National Forest. With a 5-acre lake, ducks, geese and beautiful undisturbed forest land, the rural setting at Oxford Treatment Center offers a tranquil healing environment. Our approach to addiction treatment is a holistic one, seeking to restore hope and health to individuals who come to us out of painful, self-destructive patterns. It’s not enough to end a physical dependency through successful medical detox. On the other side of that first step, the individual in recovery must have the right support in place to break those old habits and replace them with new ones. He or she must find a new way to fill the void that drugs or alcohol once did — essentially, find a new meaning in life. At Oxford Treatment Center, our team of dedicated professionals consists of a medical director, a board certified addictions psychiatrist, a board certified internist, and 6 board certified nurse practitioners. The most unique hallmark of our team of medical providers is an average of 8 year tenure at Oxford Treatment Center. The medical provider cohort is proud of the stability and commitment it provides to our patients.

This detox center was very clean, very helpful, and very caring. I have never been to a treatment center that went above and beyond for their clients. I want to thank everyone at holiday island employees and the clients i had the pleasure to meet. XO

Capstone Treatment Center

We are so grateful for the the therapists and program at Capstone Treatment Center. Our son is 18 so it had to be voluntary for him to go there. I think the idea of caring for a puppy and bringing home a dog was a big part of his decision to go. The program itself is Christian based and at a very high level of excellence. We were able to work together as a family to address underlying issues that were at the root of the problems. In my opinion the value of the program is far greater than the charges. Individual therapy can be upwards of $150/hr and group therapy $90/hr. My son was in individual, group or family therapy for over 15 hours a week. In addition to therapy there is a high level of staffing for safety and the cost of food, housing, etc. His AKC labrador puppy itself is probably a $2000 dog. I understand the cost is high but, if you could, what wouldn\'t you pay to help your child? I would highly recommend this program to any family that is struggling with deep behavioral or addiction issues.

Drug Addiction in Arkansas

According to recent statistics, Arkansas youth and adults tend to have lower rates of heavy drinking, current alcohol use, alcohol dependence, and binge drinking compared to the national average.5,6 However, rates of cigarette smoking, methamphetamine use, and inhalant use are above national rates. The state set up the Tobacco Quitline to help people who want to stop smoking.

Arkansas established a prescription drug monitoring program in 2011 to track the prescription and dispensing of prescription medications. However, the program is voluntary. A doctor cannot see what other doctors are prescribing, and the state cannot give feedback to doctors about their prescribing practices.1,2

Arkansas has 69 outpatient programs, 22 residential programs, and 6 hospital inpatient programs. 90% accept cash or self-payment, 73% accept private health insurance, 29% accept Medicare, 29% accept Medicaid, 58% accept federal military insurance, and 59% offer a sliding scale fee.7

Addiction by the Numbers

  • Arkansas is one of the top 10 states with the most methamphetamine use and arrests. Both heroin and methamphetamine use rates for the state’s high school seniors are higher than the national average. In 2013 there was an increase in methamphetamine treatment admissions compared to 2011.3,4
  • The percentage of students using inhalants is higher than the national rate. In 2015, 10% of Arkansas high school students reported that they used inhalants at least once, compared to 7% of students nationwide.5
  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimated that in 2013 the death rate in Arkansas from opioid poisoning, including overdoses, was about 3.6 per 100,000 people, or about 108 people. Arkansas is slightly below the average in prescription opioid overdoses compared to other states.2

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

The cost of drug rehab varies based on a number of factors, including location, type of treatment, luxury vs. standard treatment, amenities offered, and length of stay. Whether or not you have insurance, you still might be wondering how you are going to cover the cost of treatment. Luckily, there are several ways you can approach financing. For example, you could consider:

  • Taking out a personal loan.
  • Applying for a healthcare loan.
  • Applying for a credit card.
  • Asking friends and family for financial assistance.
  • Launching a crowdfunding campaign.
  • Paying out of pocket.
  • Selling valuable items such as a car or jewelry in order to come up with the funds.

Treatment Options

Depending on your situation and the severity of your addiction, you might begin treatment with detox to rid your body of the directly harmful influence of drugs or alcohol. Once you are stabilized, you will be referred to the most appropriate next step in treatment—either an inpatient or outpatient program. Inpatient treatment provides a more intense level of care and allows you to live at the facility for 30 to 90 days while engaging in treatment services like group counseling, individual therapy, and relapse prevention classes.

Outpatient treatment is generally a sound treatment option for people with less severe addictions that don’t require around-the-clock care. Outpatient also offers a more flexible schedule- allowing you to live your life outside of rehab and visit the facility regularly for group therapy sessions and other treatment services. At any point during your treatment journey you can join a 12-step program in your area. There are numerous groups throughout the state that offer meetings where you can meet other sober individuals who are going through recovery.
