I was in this program and the help I got was great!! i got more then just treatment i got a new way of thinking. the owner Ms. pam does realy go over board to help her clients. she always said that if it aint a passion it wont last. i have been clean now for almost six years. the program helped me get my family and life back. my kids and family trust me now. i am grateful for im still standing by grace. a lot of people may have bad things to say. but i know the program has changed a lot of lives. me first. the food is awesome, the staff care and the owner is dedicated seven days a week she was there helping us see how we could look at triggers and change our lives

Drug Addiction in Maryland

Drug overdose deaths have increased significantly in Maryland in recent years. The increase is the latest consequence of one of the biggest public health crises in Maryland’s history—opioid addiction. This problem has worsened due to an influx of illegally manufactured synthetic drugs, such as fentanyl.²

Increases in fentanyl and heroin use have contributed significantly to the increase in overdoses in Maryland in recent years.³

In 2015, the governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan, appointed a Heroin and Opioid Emergency Task Force to identify ways to curb the opioid epidemic in the state. Based on the task force’s input, the governor authorized more than $2 million in funding for 2016 to fight the opioid health crisis. The money went towards improving overdose prevention, treatment funding and more.⁴

Addiction by the Numbers

The number of alcohol- and drug-related deaths reached 2,089 in 2016, according to the state’s most recent data. A 66% increase from 2015.³
In 2016, 89% of all substance-related deaths in Maryland were related to opioids, such as fentanyl and heroin.³
There was a 70% increase in opioid-related deaths in 2016 compared to 2015. Opioid deaths have almost quadrupled since 2010.³
Among individuals aged 12 and older who suffered from alcohol dependence or abuse from 2010-2014, more than 91% did not receive any treatment.⁵
More than 85% of adults aged 12 and older that abused or were addicted to drugs during 2010-2014 did not get treatment.⁵
