Treatment Philosophy
Oxford Treatment Center is a 110 acre campus located within the Holly Springs National Forest. With a 5-acre lake, ducks, geese and beautiful undisturbed forest land, the rural setting at Oxford Treatment Center offers a tranquil healing environment. Our approach to addiction treatment is a holistic one, seeking to restore hope and health to individuals who come to us out of painful, self-destructive patterns. It’s not enough to end a physical dependency through successful medical detox. On the other side of that first step, the individual in recovery must have the right support in place to break those old habits and replace them with new ones. He or she must find a new way to fill the void that drugs or alcohol once did — essentially, find a new meaning in life. At Oxford Treatment Center, our team of dedicated professionals consists of a medical director, a board certified addictions psychiatrist, a board certified internist, and 6 board certified nurse practitioners. The most unique hallmark of our team of medical providers is an average of 8 year tenure at Oxford Treatment Center. The medical provider cohort is proud of the stability and commitment it provides to our patients.

We also have a variety of treatment modalities, including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and dialectical behavior therapy. Recovery involves much more than giving up substances; it involves a whole new way of living and connecting with yourself and others. At Oxford, we have an ideal environment that allows us to provide a whole host of activities and amenities that allow you to connect to nature, reflect, restore your physical health, and reconnect. Whether you want to focus on strengthening your body at our fitness centers, meditate on the banks of our private lake, or work with animals in our equine therapy program, our facility will provide a variety of features to not only make your time with us enjoyable, but to give you the best possible head start in recovery. While your recovery toolkit will have filled up nicely by the end of your time with us, not everybody is ready to move forward alone. Oxford’s aftercare planners and alumni coordinators will make sure you have a plan and a support network for transitioning back into the world after treatment. We also know the importance of making and maintaining a network of sober individuals, so we’ll connect you with local AA and 12-step chapters and with a national alumni network to provide you with a comprehensive support network for recovery.

Mississippi Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center

A wonderful relaxing treatment center where adults are treated as adults. A compassionate and trained staff with a serene facility. It is has only 12 beds which makes for more one on one time. Sometimes clients that aren’t serious about recovery are not shown the door fast enough but that is in an attempt to help them find the way.
