I love Milestones!!!!! I can't say it enough. It has truly changed my life. For once in my life I was able to work through some much needed issues in a safe, warm, and loving environment. They truly helped me to get down to the root causes of my addiction while providing the individualized support that I needed. They showed me nothing but love, compassion, understanding and support and made me feel safe. I learned so much. After attending milestones, I feel that I've finally made peace with my past, the world around me and they have truly prepared me and provided a guiding light for my future. facility, grounds, view and location is beautiful. The nursing staff was excellent and caring. They showed a vested interest in the residents. A shout out and thank you to all the staff! The chef's prepared great meals and were kind and professional. The therapy staff provided excellent help and insight to my underlying issues and triggers, which provided me with the tools and the solid ground work to my success in sobriety. However, I was very disappointed with misinformation provided to me by Delphi the corporation that owns and operates CA Highlands. They claim that this facility offers amenities such as hikes, outings to integrate you back into sober activities, a functioning pool for exercise, yoga, etc. All of this is untrue. While some of my stay was during the start of the Corona Virus, these amenities were never offered. When I submitted my grievances through Delphi's approved grievance process regarding their false advertising and their lack of outings and physical activities, they went ignored and nothing was addressed as per Delphi policy. Sobriety is mind, spirit and BODY. Having amenities that address the body and providing physical activity was very important to me. It was very much a deciding factor in my selection of a facility. The journey into sobriety is about honesty and truth. Shouldn't the facility providing treatment be as well?
