There ability to help you reinforce the strength to use the tools to stay sober They were a coed facility at the time and were unable to stop hooking up and I believe that took away from treatment. I absolutely loved being there for treatment. They made me feel safe and an addict has a lot of trust issues. There treatment program really works. At least it did for me.
When I was looking for a new drug rehabilitation center to send my daughter after she relapsed this last time a friend of mine suggested Serenity Point Recovery. She had sent her daughter there a year before and her daughter was still clean and doing really well. I ended up speaking to her daughter a little and she told me some of the things the program offered and I was really impressed with all the different things they offer there in order to help their clients not just get off drugs but help them change their life completely. Her daughter seemed so happy and told me that going to Serenity helped her to see that she didn’t need the drugs she was on to be happy. That was a big thing for me and I immediately tried to get my daughter to treatment there. It took a while to get her to agree to go but she finally did. She also agreed to really do the program there and get everything out of it that she could. The staff there were really good about staying in touch with me about how my daughter was doing on her program and if she was having any problems. It was such a difference from the other programs she had gone to where it was impossible to get in touch with any of the case workers. My daughter had a couple problems throughout her program but honestly that’s to be expected. If she just breezed through the whole thing it would have concerned me more. Since she’s been home after graduating her program she’s done extremely well. Most of my fears about her relapsing were allayed right away. When she got home she immediately started going to her meetings and looking for work. When she did get a job, she didn’t mess up there and is still working at the same place. She’s doing wonderful and it’s amazing seeing my daughter this happy again.
According to Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder, prescription opioid abuse is affecting residents in communities all over the state.1 However, opioids are not the only drugs causing problems. In Detroit, cocaine is also a major drug of abuse, and marijuana use is prevalent across Michigan.2 Many people who need treatment for alcohol and drug abuse do not receive it.
Drug overdose rates also remain high in Michigan, increasing by 13.3% from 2014 to 2015.7 This number may be so high because many people in the state do not get the help they need to overcome their drug or alcohol addiction. An overwhelming majority or 81.7% of people with illicit drug dependence or abuse in Michigan did not receive treatment within the past year according to data from 2010-2014.4

Make sure you weigh your options before making a final decision and ask about your payment options and whether your insurance is accepted. Some rehab centers offer payment plans or sliding scale fees.
