If you are putting money into your health and well-being, you want to make sure you’re making the right decision for your Paxton drug and alcohol abuse rehab facility.
I recently Had the experience with Recovery By the Sea. Today I am 60 days sober. The longest I\'ve been in YEARS! Coming in from the beginning, I knew it would not be an easy task for me however, I also knew in my heart that I needed the change and that the only thing that could make this possible could only come from within. The Desire to change an never look back. None of this would have been possible without the help from everyone at Recovery By The Sea. I have nothing but a great sense of gratitude to each and every one of the staff members from the Doctors to the Nurses, the Therapists all the way to every single Tech. RBS has an approach that could very well be compared to real life. that being said, I had to get used to a few things that I am still practicing today since I left there. This goes for the new clients and also any future client. Housing with others under renovations was not an easy thing for me, but it sure got easier with time. I caught myself in a position where it was leave bitter or stay and become a part of a family among new friends and therapists. Either I left with nothing or, I stayed and change my life for good. And today that is where I stand. Just give things time and be patient. Yesterday I got a call and I received a job offer that will probably change my life around to live happy and healthy. Thank you Craig, Matt, Lee, Adriane, Dianne, Gio, Dave, Matt #2, Trish, ALL THE TECHS! I love you all and you all have a very special place in my heart. I carry my coin everywhere I go in my pocket. Thank you for working with me and for me! you all ROCK! and God Bless all of you. CJ
To whom it may concern, SJRP changed my life with the infinite amount of love and patience they offered to me. The variety of food and activities made me excited for each day that came along. Activities included the gym, equine therapy, horse back riding, NIT/VAT therapy ( which is amazing!!!), painting and reading, meditation, group and one on one therapy sessions. Extra activities include park excursions, kayaking, visiting springs, and the beach. All the staff ranging from the Director of Operations down to the Custodians are there to provide tender loving care for the betterment of each client. I speak from personal experience and this is why I am so grateful for the opportunity to attend Saint Johns Recovery Place.
I enjoyed the The yoga sessions on the beach, meditation that was brought in once a week to the facility, recovery unplugged also offered to take clients to a gym weekly to work out, I was also able to learn how to go grocery shopping on my own something that I haven't done in a very long time. The partial hospitalization in which recovery unplugged models there treatment after was a good way to keep me both in the community but also at the same time in a safe secure treatment atmosphere. Do use of music really allowed me to tap into other areas of my feelings and emotions that I would not have been able to otherwise access through regular talk therapy. Listening to certain songs or motivational speech is allowed me to think outside of the box to better communicate my feelings. The clinical staff for recovery unplugged was far better than I had ever experienced at any treatment facility previously to this one. The clinical start truly has your best interest At heart. My counselor really helped me work through issues surrounding family problems something that I had struggled with for a very long time. Upon leaving recovery unplugged I feel like I had gained the necessary tools in order to go back out into the world to maintain positive and successful recovery from alcohol and drugs. The only one weakness that I would probably point out the recovery unplugged had was the black a family group. However I wouldn't say this is a weakness as a lot of the people who were at recovery unplugged were from areas outside of Fort Lauderdale in southern Florida. Most people are from the East Coast some people as far away is Alaska came to treatment and recovery unplugged us making it a little difficult to engage in family therapy sessions while at recovery unplugged. This treatment center is unlike any other facility I've gone to. Their unique approach to therapy through the means of music allowed me to tap into emotions I wouldn't have been able to feel otherwise. The treatment team and clinical team truly have your best interest at heart throughout the course of treatment. The medical staff far exceeded my expectations when it came to treating my cooccuring disorders with psychiatric medicine. One of the more unique things that this treatment center does that differentiates themselves from other facilities is discharging people on the Vivitrol shot which adds another layer of insurance to prevent an addict or alcoholic from going back out on another run.
