I was only there for a few days, but in those days I can out a better person who wanted to be better. It has been three years and I am still going strong!! It all started there, they made me feel like I could do anything. Great group of doctors, social workers, therapist, counselors, and nurses who all worked as a group to make sure you knew what your treatment was, and what was best for you. It looks like it could use some money to spruce it up a bit, very 1970's looking.
Customized rehab, experienced addiction counselors. Need a doctor or psychiatrist on staff, visiting with patients regularly. Very small groups and a lot of personal attention
Besides my sub-par interaction with what I'm sure was one weak counselor, my time and experience at brighton was otherwise exceptional, effective, and positive. 4+ years later i am still clean, having kicked opiates under the care of this facility. No relapses, and my support treatment remains ongoing. I travel an hour each way every 2-3 months specifically to visit my brighton doctor. 200% recommended. I loved brighton and have only positive memories. Strengths include: staff, location, size, program, required education, methods of integration, sense of community, medical staff. Weaknesses include: individual counseling nearly non-existent, my assigned counselor barely spent 10 minutes with me and seemed biased to & against certain patients in group situations. Met with me individually only once, briefly, the day before I left.
